History
History At Our School
Our history curriculum aims to inspire our pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past. History helps pupils to understand the process of change, the diversity of societies as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time. History lessons focus on developing historical skills and children working as historians. We offer lots of opportunities for our children to have real life experiences and learn about history in an active and creative way.
Our history curriculum will equip the children to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgment.
Wherever possible, links are made to other subject areas to promote deeper learning and understanding and help the children to make connections with the world around them.
