Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The PTA is made up of parents who enjoy being involved in helping the school to provide the best educational environment for the children.
The Friends run lots of fun events to raise money to buy equipment for the children to use inside and outside of the classrooms. Past purchases have included: new books for the library, a gazebo for the KS1 playground and a climbing frame for Foundation Stage.
We have raised money through Cake Sales, Christmas Fair, Children’s Disco, Easter Event, Pamper Evening, Summer Fair, Tuck Shop.... and lots more!
However, these events are not possible without help. They are huge fun and it is an extremely satisfying and rewarding experience being involved. The Friends is a great way to make new friends by working together with other parents with a like-minded cause; you will get to know everyone really well.
You don’t have to be an expert; any amount of assistance or skill is welcome. Even taking on a small role during an event helps more than you might think. Whether you only want to help with one event or all of them, it is worth coming along to one of our meetings. We meet at least once every half term with sub committees forming throughout the year for various events.
If you are interested in joining us please email us (details on the Contact Us page) or enquire at the school directly and come along to one of our meetings. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Mrs Julie Masters
Wildridings has been a big part of my children's and my life for the past 11 years and being part of the PTA is one way that I can help the school help other children enjoy their primary years.
I have been with the PTA since 2016 when I ran the Bracknell half marathon to help raise funds for the school.
I can be found in year 1 as a LSA.
Mrs Nic Sawyer
I joined the PTA in September 2018 when my youngest daughter started reception. Having 2 children at the school I wanted to get involved in organising & communicating the fun events the kids love so much!
In 2019 I became secretary for the PTA. My passion is increasingly communication between the parents and the school in order for the children to benefit as much as possible from extra activities and supplies - the fundraising efforts of the parents and PTA Is crucial to this.
Mrs Vicky Figzal
I joined the PTA just after my child started reception. My youngest daughter soon started nursery too. I was quite new to the area and I wanted to know more about the school and it's projects. But most importantly get to know and socialise with other like minded parents. The meetings are not too frequent and always sensilbly planned to discuss and help organise upcoming events. Members get to be involved as little or as much as they like. There are no expectations. I am a photographer and love to partake in events and assist when possible. We raise amazing amounts of money for the school and make a big difference to the pupils.
Mrs Katie Robinson
I have 2 children who attend the school and decided when my youngest joined the school nursery that I would like to give something back to the school. I joined the PTA 2 years ago and have enjoyed helping to plan fetes, discos and fundraisers.
Mrs Jade Stannett
I Have 3 children in Wildridings, I joined as I love to help with organising fundraisers and getting the children and adults involved within the school. I have been involved with the PTA for almost 5 years now and have loved every minute of it.
