Welcome to Wildridings Primary School!
About Us
Message from Mr Brent Ellis, Wildridings Primary School Headteacher
At Wildridings Primary School, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish, achieve and realise their full potential. Our dedicated and caring staff work hard to create a happy, safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, develops a strong sense of belonging and is encouraged to believe in themselves.
We are ambitious for all our children, regardless of their starting points or background. Through an engaging, creative and carefully planned curriculum, we aim to inspire curiosity, nurture a love of learning and provide children with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to succeed. We have high expectations of every child and are committed to ensuring that all pupils, including those who may face additional barriers to learning, are supported and challenged to achieve their very best.
At the heart of our approach are our school values of Teamwork, Resilience, Ambition, Curiosity and Kindness. These values shape our relationships, guide our decisions and help our children develop into confident, independent and responsible individuals. We place great importance on developing oracy, critical thinking, independence and resilience, underpinned by strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. We want our children to leave Wildridings not only with a secure foundation of knowledge and skills, but also with the confidence, character and ambition to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Our motto, 'Belong, Believe, Become', captures everything we aspire to achieve. We want every child to feel that they belong, to believe in their own abilities and to become the very best version of themselves. We recognise and celebrate individual achievements, nurture talents and interests, and work in close partnership with families and our wider community to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
We are incredibly proud of our school and the children, staff and families who make it such a special place to learn and grow.
We hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Wildridings Primary School. However, there is no substitute for seeing our school in action, and we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a visit or have any further questions.
Mr Brent Ellis
