Welcome to Wildridings Primary School!
Safeguarding
At Wildridings Primary School, safeguarding is our top priority. We are committed to protecting the welfare of all our pupils and ensuring they are safe, healthy, and well cared for. In line with Government guidelines and the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) document, we have robust procedures in place to support every child’s safety and well-being.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding refers to all actions taken to:
- Protect children from harm or abuse.
- Promote their well-being and healthy development.
- Ensure they grow up in a safe environment with effective care.
- Take action to help every child achieve the best outcomes.
At Wildridings, safeguarding includes:
- Child protection procedures
- Health and safety
- Anti-bullying policies
- Staff recruitment and training in safeguarding.
How We Support Our Pupils:
We take a whole-school approach to safeguarding, working closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure our pupils' safety at all times. In school, pupils are encouraged to share any concerns or worries with trusted adults, and we continuously educate them on staying safe, including topics like e-safety, stranger danger, and mental health.
