At Wildridings, we feel it is important that the children have a voice in the structure and runnings of the school. Every year group has elected councillors (elected by their peers) and they meet with the senior leadership team to discuss and implement ideas around the school.
To date, our school councillors have helped in:
- Acquiring new play equipment for the school playground
- Discussed new events and ways to fundraise for the school and other charities
- Organised rotas and established fair practices throughout school day and playtime
- Organised competitions, judged the entries and announced winners
... and more besides.
We are thankful to our school councillors for being our eyes and ears on the ground who have the ability to pick up on some of the little things. Well done councillors.
