Wildridings Primary School

A Welcome from the Head

A warm welcome to you from me on behalf of all staff and children at Wildridings Primary School.

We are an energetic, caring and nurturing primary school with a clear and determined focus on ensuring that all children that attend our school are actively involved in an engaging and enriching curriculum. We look to broaden horizons, develop lasting knowledge and life skills as well as encourage a natural curiosity about the wider world and the wonders it holds. We have a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants, governors, specialists and facilitators who all aim to provide an accepting, safe and enjoyable learning experience; all centred around our Golden Values that promote responsibility, respect, self-appreciation and caring for others both in the school and in our wider community.

Wildridings is a well-resourced school with a spacious site which includes: 2 Halls; school library; nature areas; 2 different key-stage playgrounds; playground equipment including a horizontal climbing wall and tyre play park; a large, enclosed field; a newly built ICT suite in November 2016 and even an on-site swimming pool. These are all used extensively to enhance children’s learning and social skills.

We encourage our children and staff to do their best in all areas of school life, laying down strong foundations for the rest of their lives. We want our children to be happy and enjoy creating rich memories here at Wildridings. Through empathy and encouragement our whole school supports each other. It is only by working together as a school community that we can succeed. With our parents we form an active partnership helping each other to create life-long learners.

I sincerely hope that by browsing our website, you will gain an informed insight into the many wonderful events and learning experiences Wildridings has to offer.

Thank you

Mr Simon Cope
